I wonder if all the Meryl Streep stans who are currently clogging tumblr with their OMG it’s Meryl Streep day realize that pretty much every celebrity has their own day. Her having her own “day” is nothing special. I get that it’s all in fun, but it’s also really annoying. I swear the “Streepers” and almost as bad as the twilight loons and the beiber crazies. Have your fun but lets take the stanning down a notch.

Dear Tumblr people this isn’t from Blue Valentine, It’s from All Good things. It’s not Michelle Williams, it’s Kirsten Dunst. Please stop posting it under the wrong tags. Thanks.

Blah Blah Music…
So in going over my likes the other day I didn’t mention music. I have very eclectic musical taste, I pretty much listen to anything. Pop, Rock, oldies, classical, Blues, Jazz…you get the point.
The thing I am listening to the most right now is my Sam Cooke station on Pandora.
*side note..can we talk about Pandora for a second. It is the greatest thing ever. I have discovered more music on Pandora. It has also cost me a shitload of money from then having to go buy the songs I have just heard on itunes.
Anyways Sam Cooke in my view is one of the most underrated singers ever. He really gets overlooked a lot for people like Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye. I love them both, but Sam Cooke is my guy.
I do listen to A LOT of old stuff. Elvis, Etta, Otis, Motown, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison etc. You can never go wrong with any of these.
Like everyone else I love Adele, I mean how can you not? The radio tried to make me hate her by playing Rolling in the Deep until I wanted to punch someone in the face. And Glee tried to ruin her for me too, but in the end my love for all things great prevailed.
Like I said I like listening to classic, blues and jazz also. When it comes to them I really don’t have any favorites I just love listening to them. They make me feel better, actually they just make me feel…if that makes sense.
I love discovering new music and musicians that I have never heard of and I recently discover a new group called JJ Grey and Mofro. I think they have been around for a while but I just discovered them. They bluesy, soul, funk. Plus they have a great name.
I know I said I like pop music and I do but mostly I just like certain songs. I am not a fan of GaGa. I have never seen the hype for her. Her songs are basic and forgettable and if it wasn’t for her over the top wardrobe she would have long been forgotten. I know I know MANY people will disagree, but hey whatever. I have always rolled my eyes at Katy Perry, but I swear no matter how much I resist I end up buying her singles. The girl can write a damn catchy pop song.
Like I said I love finding new music so If you have any suggestion send them my way.
I realize this blog wasn’t very exciting and I will try to spice things up as time goes by. Hell you may even wish I always did boring blogs.
